Pixar's Brave Movie Review For ParentsĪn original and thrilling journey set in the ancient and magical Highlands of Scotland, BRAVE follows the heroic journey of the headstrong, young adventurer Merida. After that, she was fine again until the end. She was nervous about the entire movie, and then cried again when it got dark and the bear came on the screen. I took her right outside the theater and talked to her and after a few minutes she calmed down. As soon as the trailer for Monsters University came on she freaked out and started screaming. My youngest daughter Anna had seen a trailer for Brave and while I wasn't aware, I guess the bears in the trailer scared her.
When I took my children, I had to leave three of them alone after the previews started. One word of caution, young children may be a little frightened by the bears and a few dark elements of the film.
